Information we collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you fill out our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and any details about your tiling project you choose to share.

We also collect limited information automatically when you visit this website through Google Analytics 4. This includes the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device and browser information. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which stay on your device for up to two years. These cookies distinguish unique browsers so we can measure traffic and improve the site. They do not give us access to your name, contact details, or any information you submit through our contact form.

Google processes analytics data on our behalf and may store it outside Australia, including in the United States. You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings, or by using a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote for tiling work, and communicate with you about your potential project. We do not use your information for marketing purposes. Your information is processed and stored by Netlify (our hosting provider) as described below.

We use aggregated analytics data to measure website traffic, understand which pages are useful, and improve how the site is presented. Analytics data is not used to contact you or to make automated decisions about you.

Information storage and security

Contact form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, in accordance with their security and data handling practices. Your information may be stored on servers located outside Australia, including the United States. Aggregated website analytics are processed by Google on our behalf and may also be stored outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.

Third-party services

Our website uses the following third-party services:

  • Netlify — website hosting and contact form processing
  • Google Analytics — website traffic measurement and analytics, operated by Google LLC in the United States
  • Tradsiee — video recording widget on our contact page. If you choose to record a video message, Tradsiee stores your recording using Cloudinary, a third-party service based in the United States. Video recordings are retained indefinitely for dispute resolution and may not be eligible for deletion.

Data retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and provide our services. Once the enquiry is resolved or the project completed, your information is deleted within 12 months unless required otherwise by law.

Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months, in line with the data-retention setting on our property, after which it is deleted or anonymised. The _ga cookies themselves expire after up to two years or sooner if you clear them.

Note: Video recordings submitted through the Tradsiee widget are retained indefinitely by Tradsiee for dispute resolution purposes and may not be eligible for deletion. This is outside our control.

Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and request corrections if anything is inaccurate. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be published on this page.
